seems to me you can't bring in 10 portal offensive linemen, for example. When you're recruiting upperclassmen, I assume you are telling them you are expected to start (though Cade McConnell didn't start, the other portal OL did, I believe). You have to retain some offensive linemen on the two or three deep for practice and game depth. Also why you can't entirely ignore recruiting OL at the high school level, though we came up empty this year (part of that was intentional, but I suspect the preference was to sign one or two projectable OL starters from the HS level).
