Here are a few notes and updates to pass along in what will likely be a big weekend for Vanderbilt on the recruiting front as they prepare to host Missouri.

- As we already mentioned on the board last week, Houston Christian (Tex.) offensive tackle Braden Kopp and Edgewood Academy (Ala.) defensive end/outside linebacker Kelvin Lucky are new Vanderbilt targets expected to be visiting Nashville this weekend. There is a very good possibility that Vanderbilt can land commitments from either one, or both of these targets after they visit this weekend.

- Another new target that is visiting Nashville this weekend is South Pointe (S.C.) defensive back Nick McCloud, whom the Commodores offered last Friday after watching him in person while they were preparing to face the Gamecocks. This will be a chance for the three-star prospect to get a glimpse of Vanderbilt this weekend as he currently lists N.C. State, West Virginia, and Northwestern as his other favorites.

- Vanderbilt also extended an offer to 2016 offensive tackle and Wisconsin commit Patrick Kasl. The three-star Forest Lake (Minn.) prospect has been committed to the Badgers since June and appears to be a pretty solid commit. Otherwise, it will be interesting to see if Vanderbilt can get Kasl to visit sometime in the fall.

- Speaking of offensive tackle targets, Grayson Stover recently took his official visit to Indiana this past weekend and in his recap with Peegs.com he mentioned that he's focusing on Indiana, Vanderbilt, Maryland, and Illinois as college destinations. But, it appears that the Hoosiers made a very good impression. For the full recap, hit the link below:

- As for running backs, it appears the focus for Vanderbilt remains on two prospects - Trevor Speights and Tre Harbison. While Harbison remains committed to Virginia, he appears to be keeping an open mind about visiting other schools. The three schools that remain on him the hardest are Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, and South Carolina - keep in mind the three-star prospect already visited West End way back in February.

- I was told that an interesting rumor popped up on the Volquest.com site a day or so ago in regards to top target Joejuan Williams. The rumor on their board suggested that Williams is now leaning more towards Vanderbilt instead of Tennessee and it was started from someone "in the know" over there. Now, keep in mind it is a rumor, so take it FWIW.
