Ranking SEC teams Def + Off

someone posted the rankings of the SEC teams D and O over at the Rant. (out of 128 teams) I took the average of the rankings to see how we looked compared to the rest of the SEC. Remember that we have played two of the top teams already but also APSU.

UGA - 21
Bama - 26
Ole Miss - 33
Arkansas - 42.5 (hopefully they open it up against UT today)
TAMU - 46
UF - 48
Vandy - 48.5
MSU - 49.5
LSU - 62
Mizz - 62.5
UT - 64
UK - 78
USC - 87
Auburn - 95

Seems like we are on the healthy side of the middle of the conference with 4 teams well below us yet to play and only one above us. I know the FEI (?) or the S/P rankings are better since they account for key in game stats. I just thought it was interesting to look at this average even though it might not have too much bearing on game results (simply depends on who the teams have played), and I had time on my hands so..... Hope our W-L ends up where I think it should be according to this average!

The other interesting thing I noticed was that after Bama (21+31)and UGA (24+18), our defense and offense rankings (41+56) were the most balanced. MSU and UK were just below us in balance.

edit - just realized that USC is also very balanced; very bad on both sides of the ball!
