The PGA Tour moves from the West Coast to the East Coast this week with the Honda Classic at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The big news for this tournament is that world Number 1 player Rory Mcilroy is making his state-side debut for the year, and he is a favorite to win. Other players to look out for this week include Sergio Garcia, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Keegan Bradley, Justin Rose, and Lee Westwood.

As I mentioned in another thread, Brandt Snedeker is taking this week off from competition. VU Alum Jon Curran missed the cut last week at Riviera, and he has fallen down the priority list for tournaments. As a result, he was actually bumped from the field this week to an alternate position. Fortunately for Curran, Hideki Matsuyama had to withdraw from the tournament with a sore wrist, so Curran was added back into the field.

Curran teed off about 2 hours ago, and last I checked was +4 through his first 7 holes, so he has some work to do to make the cut.
