Off-seasons have never been kind to Vandy Football. We’ve experienced everything from the tragic passing of Kwane Doster to our likely-starting transfer cornerbacks both being lost for the season before fall practice. . .and everything between.
This is the first year I have ever felt momentum really swinging towards our football program.
Sure, we might not be landing the top tier of the portal, but we are fielding a strong portal class so far. We are beating out programs on multiple players. When you beat out programs for a top 5 ranked interior offensive lineman, that’s compelling. The portal didn’t exist in years past, but historically there’s no question this relative success wouldn’t be happening without the Bama win. The press from the Bama win continues to fuel the program. The rest of the season too - of course, along with Pavia’s iconic interviews and moxie. Turnt!
