(Because saying Occam's Razor is itself less parsimonious and that has always amused me)
The mental gymnastics we do to make ourselves feel better is just incredible. The facts of the matter are this.
1. We have a very bad, established losing head coach -- one who has taken a program at its apex and driven it down to the very bottom again. One who consistently blames players after loses and oddly almost angry challenges fans after his rare win. No other team I can think of remotely interested in competitive football would keep Mason another year.
2. Yet we have decided to keep him. This was a mindful decision. Someone, we don't know who, decided to keep Mason.
3. So "brilliant strategy" and all aside. This is absurd and ludicrous on its head. There is almost no reason to believe our football program will rise, and a huge amount of evidence it will stay at the bottom with Mason.
Tell me where I am wrong.
