How the whistles blow.
One thing that's a bit scary is that Purdue hasn't had a player foul out yet due to its depth. Purdue is in outstanding shape with either center on the floor and it's basically a one-headed, 35-ppg, 15 rpg monster between Haas and Hammons, one with 10 fouls to give.
The other place where this could play out is at point guard. It sounds as if Baldwin is decisively better than what Purdue has (which will be the case against just about anyone he matches up with) but Baldwin's also prone to picking up fouls.
If the early whistles go against VU, it could be trouble. Otherwise, I think Vandy can hang until the final minutes with a chance to win.
