I'm sitting here, getting ready to watch Oklahoma and Baylor play for the Big 12 title. Baylor. All of you remember Baylor, don't you? Yes, the same team we played in the Texas bowl and alnost beat just last year.
What a difference a year can make.
Baylor is playing in the Big 12 championship game right now, and we are stuck with a coach after six losing seasons.
One university just a few years ago, was really good in football, had a massive scandal rock the program to rock bottom with all coaches being fired, hired a new coach, and four years later are in the Big 12 Championship game.
The other university had three winning seasons in a row, the coach moved on, and this university has slid back into misery six years later.
It just shows that IF you hire the right coach, you can play good football. Does anyone think that Baylor and Oklahoma have the same calibre of recruiting classes? Fyi, they do not.
