I can't even imagine next year's team. We've had good teams before, but the podcast that Tim Thompson did with Chris just makes next year seem like a fantasy roster, one I never ever thought I would see in Memorial wearing Black and Gold. Ever.
Starters: (obviously changes if we get RL)
1. Darius Garland
2. Saben Lee
3. Matt Ryan
4. Simi Shittu
5. Yanni Wetzel
Bench: ( obviously different if we get RL or lose a couple)
1. Peyton Willis / Larry Austin Jr
2. Max Evans
3. Aaron Nesmith / Joe Toye
4. Clevon Brown
5. Enjeke Obinna / D'Jerry Baptiste
The only thing missing (and it's potentially huge) is experience.
Athleticism? Check. Speed and quickness? Check. Shooting? Check.
I said the only thing missing is experience, but there will be some other questions. Will they defend better, both the post and perimeter? Will a go to guy emerge, one that actually wants the ball in critical situations? Do any of the bigs have shot blocking ability?
But, wow, this team next year is LOADED with possibilities!
