Vanderbilt has officially offered to Shawnee (Okla.) wide receiver Jackson Winrow. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect is a name we mentioned on the board as a name to keep an eye on as Vanderbilt continues to pursue wide receiver options in the 2016 class. Vanderbilt is his first big offer, Winrow told us recently that Indiana was another power five school that was showing him interest as well.

Update on Winrow...

On receiving the news of his Vanderbilt offer, "Coach Hankton called me and asked if I was ready to put in the work to be the best player I can be and I said yea and he extended the offer to me."

His thoughts on the offer, "it's very big since it's my first big offer and showing me that they really believe in me."

Winrow said he intends to take his visit in January.

I also talked with Josh McCuistion of SoonerScoop.com, he noted that other schools like Indiana, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Oregon State are also showing interest and could eventually offer in the near future.
