Vanderbilt offered defensive tackle Ahmir Crowder from Los Angeles, California yesterday. Vanderbilt is the first school to offer.
"Getting that Vanderbilt offer was amazing. I was not expecting that to happen. Coach Ah You called me over the phone and offered me.Coach Ah You seems cool. He seemed like he wants me to be a part of his defensive line core." said Crowder.
"I like that Vanderbilt is a very academic institution because a degree from Vanderbilt would take you very far in life. I like the defensive sets. I love the uniforms. I also hear that Nashville, Tennessee is a really nice place to live"
He said that Vanderbilt is the only school currently recruiting him. He plans to visit Nashville this summer. He is projected to be a nose in Vanderbilt's 3-4 scheme.
