After watching this offense, this commit makes a ton of sense now. https://southwestregionalpublishing...-for-198-yards-4-tds-in-win-over-st-ignatius/

Note: Mt. Carmel (an Illinois Powerhouse) is coached by Jordan Lynch - former star and Heisman candidate of Jerry Kill's Northern Illinois team.

Mount Carmel QB Jack Elliot runs for 198 yards, 4 TDs in win over St. Ignatius

Watching Mount Carmel quarterback Jack Elliott play, two noticeable aspects of his game are his arm and his heart.
Elliot, a senior from Orland Park, can throw the ball with the best of them; he’s also tough, durable and not afraid to accept a punishing hit from an opposing defender.
In a 45-24 CCL/ESCC Blue victory over St. Ignatius on Sept. 20, he showed he can be proficient with his legs as well, rushing for 198 yards and four touchdowns.
Among those were scores that covered 45, 54 and 71 yards in a game in which the Caravan trailed heading into the fourth quarter.
The feisty Wolfpack (2-2, 0-1) led 24-21 after three quarters before Mount Carmel seized the momentum of the game and scored 24 unanswered fourth-quarter points.
After a bad snap went out of the end zone on a St. Ignatius punt attempt, drawing the Caravan to within one point, Mount Carmel’s Quentin Burrell returned the ensuing free kick 64 yards for a touchdown.
Elliott found Burrell for the 2-point conversion pass, giving the host Caravan a 31-24 margin with 11 minutes to play.
Elliott, a Vanderbilt commit, closed out his evening with his final TD, a 54-yard run with 8:34 to play.
On the season, Elliott has 351 yards rushing and eight touchdowns.
Mount Carmel’s Madden Wilson scored his first touchdown of the season on a 20-yard run off right tackle for the game’s final tally with 6:47 remaining.
Defensively, the Caravan’s Matthew Mucha had 11 tackles), Roman Igwebuike had eight tackles and Le’Javier Payne nabbed his third interception of the season.
