- While things still seem to be trending in the right direction for Vanderbilt with Curtis, especially if you pay attention to recent FutureCast predictions (click his profile above and scroll down). Perhaps some good news will be coming for Vanderbilt soon, but Curtis continues to flirt with Nebraska and the longer that continues, the Commodores will likely start taking a serious look at other options. One of those could be another in-state product in East Nashville's Tyler Fletcher, who camped at Vandy over the summer and impressed the coaching staff.
- Grimes was back at Vanderbilt for Friday night's dinner event. He also went back to Alabama on Saturday for the first time since the spring. When it comes to the Crimson Tide, numbers are extremely tight in their class right now and the general feeling, at least for the time being, is that Grimes will have to wait for certain pieces of their recruiting puzzle to fall just right for them to take him. Right now, South Carolina is probably the biggest threat, Tennessee is also in the mix, but Vanderbilt has a legit shot as well.
