MLB posted it latest mock draft for the first round of the July draft. There are 39 players who will taken in the first round including supplemental picks. Kumar was not among the projected players taken. That indicates to me that the scouts may not be impressed with his pitching in the independent league. Also, they had Lesko being taken at 32. This could be good news for Vandy. The only current Vandyboy taken was Jones at 38.
