So I think we are all in agreement that the offense and special teams are bad. So let's talk about the defense.
Things I loved:
- they continually got put in bad positions and never broke. Most Florida possessions began in VU territory. The first possession. Stopping florida short on 4 straight plays set the tone.
- the sacks, the tackles for loss, the relentless pursuit. Harris got his yards, but he was harassed all game by this defense. Zach Cunningham is covering field from sideline to sideline just making plays (per Sparks, he finished with 9 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack, and 2 fumble recoveries.)
- TURNOVERS!! We've been wanting then all year and we finally get them. VU was finally able to force turnovers. Now, if only we could turn them into points
- penalties. I don't recall a single penalty called against the defense.
