For the week, instead of all the high brow analysis focused on firing Mason and never letting McCrary ever see the field again, lets pretend you are the HC and OC game planning for the Gators this week. Would love to see a thread this week with a list of plays/formations you would call and why they will work.
If you dont like the post or play, chime in on why it wont work but you must add a play or plan in its place.
I will start off.
Play and Grouping:
Wildcat with Johnny, Sherfield, Sims and Webb. Johnny break huddle lines up at WR, Sherfield/Sims takes snap, Webb beside him at RB, Sims in motion. That or just Sims at RB beside Sherfield.
Run several plays off this - Sherfield runs read option give/no give to Sims or Jet Sweep motion guy. Regular wildcat snap to Sims for Zac like read on wildcat, Sherfield/Sims sweep off wildcat and or possible pop pass to TE / WR to keep them honest. Could take up 8-12 plays a game or about 20% of snaps.
Question: Give me a pass play that stretches field when all 8-9 are in box at line taking away WR screen, TE stick, etc. How do you avoid sack. Is it possible to get ball out on go route or 9 route - do you trust letting it go 1:1 on outside?
