Vanderbilt women's lacrosse opened their season Saturday, winning 13-8 on the road at Cincinnati. Some of these games are shown on ESPN channels like ESPN+ etc.
VU returns in the AAC conference which previously included two teams that moved out of the AAC, Florida and Cincinnati, who apparently have now formed a Big 12 Conference along with several former PAC 12 teams. Two members of the PAC-12 did not go to the Big 12: they were Stanford who joined the ACC; USC joined the Big 10.
Vanderbilt has now opened with this win over a Big 12 team previously in their conference. Florida won 15-8 today over Kennesaw (ASUN). Florida ranked 7th last year, going to the final 4. Vanderbilt finished around 51st last year.
On Wednesday, Vanderbilt returns home to play 21st ranked Clemson of the ACC at 2 pm.
(If someone already posted about this, my apologies. I did not find it when I looked.)
