Vanderbilt is still looking to add a defensive end to the 2016 class with their top target being Central Catholic (Ind.) 3-star prospect Coy Cronk. The Commodores are also trying to get Lake Forest (Ill.) 3-star prospect Thomas Schaffer in for an official visit, he currently has a top 3 of Oregon, Stanford, and Wisconsin and is considering Kentucky, Cal, Purdue, and Vanderbilt as other OV options right now.
Another intriguing in-state defensive end prospect is Huntingdon (Tenn.) talent Sadarius Hutcherson, who just recently picked up an offer from South Carolina back on November 3rd. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound prospect also has offers from Memphis, Louisville, Middle Tennessee, Nevada, and San Diego State - Kentucky is also showing some interest as well. We've chatted with him recently and while he hasn't heard anything from Vanderbilt, there is a lot of interest in the Commodores from Hutcherson himself. Plus, he scored a 20 on his ACT and academics appear to be in order.
