It also puts VU on other teams radar as a resume win Meaning VU will almost always get their opponents best shot which will help them prepare for the post season.
A close loss probably bumps their rating as well. But a loss regardless doesn't really hurt them long term, and can actually show them what they need to do and how they need to play. In other words a loss probably makes them better down the road.
Worst thing about this game is we have to wait until 9pm. I guarantee you though I won't be fighting sleep as I usually am when I try to watch a late night game.
