I know most will disagree and say the rules are already too strict but the NFL has gone to no hits to head and neck area (see Titans game start today). Scheu's hit was by a shoulder but delivered to the head and I would argue "defenseless" as he was going to the ground sliding to make catch.
I too think the game has issues with certain over officiating but Im telling you as a dad of 3 boys and in the middle of the sports culture change, concussions are going to kill football if football doesnt stay ahead of it.
In the future and you will see it in the NFL, the defender would peal off and go over the top of Scheu I believe.
