When CCL ssid the team lost energy, I see this as the team quit believing they could win. Help me here, is this a wrong interpretation? And if not, it means the team didn’t learn anything all season about maintaining intensity and belief. Also, now that the regular season is over, I hate to say it, but it feels Masonesq. If that is a word. Like CCL has fooled us into believing we are building a foundation and will continue upward as to our play. Mason did this a few times by making bowl games and then following the season up with just horrible next seasons with 💩 teams. Maybe it’s because this team did not look good in its last 4 games and actually reversed course as to its play. Whatever it is, I am worried we take a massive step backward next season just like under Mason. I would love another competitive season next year but not seeing it. Before anyone tells me to F off, loved this season and now I want 6-6 to be viewed as mediocre and not looked at as outstanding because it isn’t.
