I saw this discussed below as it relates to NCAA Tournament seeds, and figured I could add a bit of information here based on where my podcast (which has been downloaded over 20,000 times) has been downloaded. I can't guarantee this is representative of the fan base, but I would suspect that it at least sheds some light on where the more serious pockets of fans are.

The U.S. makes up 97.6 percent of the downloads; within that, here's the breakdown of where people are listening:

Nashville, 40.7%
San Fransisco/Oakland/San Jose, 5.8%
Atlanta, 5.1%
Knoxville, 4.1%
Washington, D.C./Hagerstown, Md., 3.8%
Memphis, 3.2%
Greeneville, S.C./Spartanburg, S.C.,/Anderson, S.C/Asheville, N.C.: 3%
New York, 2.5%
Chicago, 1.5%
Los Angeles, 1.4%
Dallas, 1.3%
Tampa/St. Petersburg, 1.3%
Huntsville, Ala., 1.3%
Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, 1.1%
Charlotte, N.C., 1.0%

(About 7.8% of my downloads were identified as "United States," but not assigned a specific region)

Top 10 states by downloads, in order:
Tennessee
California
Georgia
Florida
Texas
North Carolina
Alabama
Virginia
New York
Illinois

The podcast has been downloaded at least once in every state but Montana, Wyoming, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Internationally, I've been heard in 29 countries outside the U.S., with another 0.1% or so where they couldn't identify the country in which the podcast was downloaded.

In any case, I thought that might be interesting for people to know.
