It must be the money keeping people home from games across the country. Because you throw together a free festival on any Saturday in downtown Franklin and >100,000 people will fight traffic, often fight horrible heat or cold (although not this weekend), struggle to park, tiptoe up and down a street without elbow room along with 100,000 other folks as if they were the walking dead, have no bathrooms, no seats, no shade, huge lines for food, etc. And everyone there left their home comforts and perfectly good TV's (with perfectly good live games on) to do this. There are just as many men as women there. There are tons of folks sporting team apparel. Heck, many of them would probably rather be at a game. Can Vandy (or any sports team) learn something about attendance from these wildly popular festivals??
