Women's home basketball games this week: Monday vs. Alabama at 6:00 and Thursday vs. LSU at 8:00. For program which should be trying to attract more fans, these game times certainly will not help. And after several tough years on the court, this team deserves to have more fans at their games. Of course, no mention needs to be made of attendance for MBB which has an upcoming game with A&M with a 6:00 tipoff. Nor do we need mention the attendance for football which plays day games in September and night games in November. I am well aware it is all because television dictates the schedule, and the SEC will make any concessions necessary to continue to rake in as much TV money as possible. Although I would miss the fun and excitement of being there in person (well, at least sometimes), I guess I'm just an old stick-in-the-mud who has yet to realize that it no longer makes a lot of sense to spend plenty of money to attend games at times which are not the best or most comfortable when I could stay home and watch the games for free.
