If I am understanding things correctly from some of the recent posts in the thread that was locked a little bit ago, VU basically does almost no public fundraising by design. They want to have almost all the money raised for a project before they go public with it. If I am comprehending that correctly, it seems to me that the school, for the most part, does not desire to have funds from sidewalk fans and the community. Am I understanding that correctly, or am I seriously off-base? I don't mean to be an idiot, but it certainly happens more often than I care to admit.
