Guys who pass the "look test":

Bowden was the single, most impressive beast I saw.
Rivers looks like a full back with tailback skills.
O Line: Usually at Vandy practices, there are 1-2 O Linemen that stand out as huge. It was like a 15 man tie today. From the freshmen on up, they are all huge.
D Woods, Mitchell, E. Smith, Dare O, Kentera, Monroe, Banks at FB, Weatherly all surprised me with their size at their respective positions.

Offensive guys who executed against competition:

All three RBs - but especially Crawford and Webb. RB's didn't drop any passes or fumble once throughout the everything I saw of them, despite being targeted a ton out of the backfield. Crawford was clearly underrated. I'm convinced. He hit holes fast, protected the ball 100%, and has great timing and hands receiving.
Sims - was a playmaker today. He and Webb both looked like offensive difference makers.
Kentera - made the two best receiving plays on great routes against tight coverage. He looked great all day.
Sherfield - dropped one, but made up for it by getting separation some and making some big grabs.
Marcus - made an impressive reception

Overall, I was hoping to see some offensive hope. There was an early stretch that felt very "Uh Oh, here we go again." But midway and especially late in the practice, they actually started clicking, looking deceptive in the backfield, connecting on tons of short routes/slants, and even a couple of down field connections, a few to Kentera and one in the endzone to Woods. They connected to RBs a ton, tweeners like Woods and Kentera, our playmaker Sims, the TEs, and several other WRs. While there weren't any deep bombs, they ended up looking like a balanced, simplified, quick hitting offense. No INTs or fumbles lost that I can recall in any of the live action. Only one mishandled hand off. So I got what I had hoped for....hope!

QBs - Today, McCrary and Shurmur looked better than Freeback. JMc made one or two head scratcher plays, but otherwise probably looked the best to my untrained eyes. Shurmur looked nothing like a freshman today. He might have been the most efficient. Freeback started very slowly, but finally clicked a bit right at the end.
