Desert Mountain (AZ) 2024 tight end Dillon Hipp is one of the latest recruitment targets to earn an offer from Vanderbilt, picking up the opportunity from the Commodores on Thursday, Nov. 10

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound recruit out of Scottsdale, AZ. spoke with VandySportsDotCom about how it felt to pick up an SEC opportunity from Vanderbilt and detailed his interest in the Commodores' program.

"It feels great getting an offer since they're a great academic school and in the SEC," Hipp said. "They have been contacting me since September."

Hipp said that he talked to Vanderbilt associate head coach, special teams coordinator and tight ends coach Justin Lustig.

"I've talked to Coach Lustig and I've liked how he looks at things and I like his mindset as well," Hipp said.

Hipp said that he's eager to learn more about Vanderbilt's program and is interest in visiting campus over the offseason.

"I'm definitely interest in checking out Vanderbilt, maybe a visit I'll look into planning this offseason," Hipp said.

In addition to the offer from Vanderbilt, Hipp has also received opportunities from Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado State, Duke, Iowa State, Kansas, New Mexico State, Northern Iowa, Oregon, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Washington and Washington State. Wisconsin has also been looking at the 2024 recruit.
