- Says it's a different looking Vanderbilt football team
- Wants to honor legacies of David Williams and Turner Cockrell
- Mentions that there is a different buzz surrounding his program this season
- Says it's the deepest squad he's had in his tenure at Vanderbilt
- Mentions Gerry Gdowski is an ideal fit to move the offense forward
- Says Vaughn is one of the best running backs in the country
- Says Pinkney is the best in-line blocking and pass catching tight end in the country
- Says he noticed Lipscomb had a ton of potential once he stepped foot on the field as a freshman
- Mentioned the quarterback battle and the strengths of Deuce Wallace and Riley Neal - says there is more talent in the quarterback room than there has been during his time at Vandy from top to bottom
- Talked about the offseason defensive additions and talked about the maturity added to the roster

- Said there was no animosity when Vaughn wanted to come back to Vanderbilt from Illinois
