They project based on how they think the season plays out, not just on the current status.
Vandy continues to be the #2 overall seed.
Nashville regional:
Vandy (31-7, RPI #3),
Florida St (21-15, RPI #46),
Fairfield (25-0, RPI #2),
Lehigh (16-14, RPI #209)
This would be a fun regional, four teams that we've never seen before in our regional.
Undefeated Fairfield is clearly interesting.
Lehigh's class makes up for FSU's lack thereof.
We still owe State pay-back for the 2010 Super Regional loss in Tallahassee [my grudges Die Hard.]
Our regional is matched up with the Pittsburg Regional: Pitt, Oregon St, UConn, LaSalle.
I'd prefer Pitt to win that because I want to have fun with some of their players' names:
Sky Duff "beer", Nico Popa "hitta", David "The Real" Yanni, and Brock "Ballpark" Franks.
If all the favorites make it to Omaha we would open up versus #7 Tennessee.
Then it would be either #3 TCU or #6 Oregon.
Of course, all the 4 regional favorites involved rarely all make it that far but it would be fun to beat UT in Omaha.
The other most likely teams to face in our SR Pod would be South Carolina, Stanford, or East Carolina.
