Microsoft and others have cancelled conferences in the Bay area. I met with a vendor yesterday who's company is doing the same thing with their 3000 attendee conference that was scheduled in New York because of all the different countries of origin for attendees. Airlines are starting layoffs to compensate for the lost revenue.
The stock market took its biggest one week hit since the crash in 2008. The next couple of weeks are going to be telling as the US is just starting to test people who haven't travelled to infected countries. If people start testing positive, cities in the US will shut down just like China, Italy and others. We will be plunged into a recession that has been waiting for the right circumstances to set it loose.
