I for whatever reason couldn't sleep Sunday night, woke up about 4:15 Monday morning wide awake. Turned on the TV and the Vandy /Mizzou replay was on. I got up and watched it while I worked out.
The one thing I really noticed watching the replay was there were about 3-5 plays Mizzou had where their wide receivers beat our db's and the ball got overthrown, saving us from having to play from behind. They hit on just a couple of those and we lose 17-10 or worse.
I'm wondering if anyone else noticed this, and are concerned about it since Houston is better than Mizzou at every skill position on offense. Our lack of pass rush combined with our db's possibly getting beat is a scary proposition. Our defense has been good all year, but for these reasons I'm pretty concerned going into this game.
I don't feel comfortable with Jmac the interception machine or young Shurmur playing from behind and having to score a lot. Am I alone in this?
Hopefully we go to Houston and leave 4-4, but our defense will probably have to play the best they've played all year, and they've played great so far.
