Ocassionally, I'll get bored and look outside of my normal sources for college baseball, This time I found a field of 64 projection from College Sports Madness. Well...they certainly need to work on their projections ( https://www.collegesportsmadness.com/baseball/bracketology ) I don't see how anyone can:
- Project Louisville in the Knoxville Regional as a #2 seed. The Cards are currenly ranked higher one spot lower than UT in the Top 10. I'm pretty sure that would qualify Louisville to host their own Regional not travel to somone else's Regional
- I'll make the same argument for Ga Tech. They are the bubble for hosting a Regional. Right now, they really have no business heading to #4 national seed Ole Miss for a regional. Maybe you make them a #2 in the La Tech or OK State Regional, but not the Oxford Regional.
- Bama is not a #2 seed. There is no need to elaborate.
- Arizona would be #2 seed if the season ended right now. There is no way they receive the #12 National Seed.
- TCU is not a #5 National Seed
- Miami is not a national seed.
- Oregon St is not a national seed
- I don't disagree with Michigan being a #2 seed, but they need to play in the same Regional as the #10-12 national seed, not the Nashville Regional.
I could keep going, but I think everyone gets the the idea. I don't know anything about College Sports Madness, but they did a very poor of projecting the field. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the seeding of many teams, and there's just no excuse for making Louisville a #2 seed in Knoxville. Annyways, I thought everyone might enjoy a good laugh. Y'all enjoy.
