I noticed when they interviewed CKS at the end of the game tonight, he seemed excited and energetic about being in the NIT.
This is at least the fourth time CKS has taken a team to the last 8 in the NIT from what I can tell (his Wikipedia page is woefully inaccurate, as they have him taking his ISU teams only to the 2nd round two years in a row, whereas they showed a pre game interview with him tonight in which he talked about getting to NYC twice with them).
Anyway, are his wins in the NIT evidence that he's a good coach (taking a team that couldn't make the NCAAT to NYC = getting better towards the end of the year than you were in the regular season, which has to count for something) or a bad coach (if your team can make it to NYC in the NIT, they should've been able to get 1-2 more wins in the regular season to make the NCAAT)?
