I thought it might be fun for Closed Door folks to award regular season MVP and Most Improved Player awards. Use whatever criteria you choose.
MVP: Jonathan Vastine. His production and leadership in the SEC portion made a huge difference. How many big, big hits? As steady in the field as you could want. And I think he has the sweetest swing.
MOST IMPROVED PLAYER: Someone I didn't think would even break into the starting line-up. Braden Holcomb. Developed an outstanding bat, good discipline at the plate, hit it out when team really needed him to, plays almost any position and plays them well.
Plenty of honorable mention players which is the reason this team is so good.
