Last night was the first time he has looked capable of simply playing hoops. He had a big impact on the game, right up until he iced those crucial free throws. Those were the two game winners. It was a 180 from what we've ever seen out of him.
Up until now, he's always looked like someone who's been thrown into some sort of emergency situation he's been untrained to handle, dancing around with a sort of panicked look about him. He looked flat out comfortable after a while last night. He looked focused simply on getting stops, scoring, getting loose balls, pumping up his teammates...just making winning plays. He looked hungry to win. He fed off the student section chanting his name, too.
His performance was the biggest and best development of the season so far.
