Spoke with someone yesterday who would definitely know the details of how the SEC money will change the budget and got permission from him/her to post here. The budget this year is $67m. This year, the University is providing $13m of that (last year it was $14m, the year before $15m, which is where it had been for several years). Next year, the University contribution drops to $12m, then $11m in 17-18, and down by $1m per year until the AD is financially independent, with the assumption that the SEC Network money will increase by at least that much each year. Just to put any rumors saying that the SEC money wasn't coming to the AD to rest (which I've definitely been responsible for spreading before!)
