Although it's August and I try to temper my Predictions

I find, looking at the schedule I have a hard time to pull back my optimistic belief that this team could go 7-5 and possibly 8-4 this season. (Assuming of course we don't shoot ourselves in foot with dumb penalties and turnovers)

Here's how I see it -
1. South Carolina - I honestly think we should win this and it should be game in hand before we even get to the middle of the 4th Quarter. I just think Vanderbilt has better talent and SC is learning new systems, etc...
1-0

2. MTSU - they will be up for this game, but frankly we should be much better at home against MTSU and I think MTSU will get better as the season goes on but they lost a good deal on defense, I expect us to run hard against them.
2-0

3. @ Georiga Tech - This is clearly our most difficult game in the out of conference schedule. I don't know enough about Tech and what they lost last year. Paul Johnson is a good coach and the triple option is tough to defend, but here is where Mason has to prove his DC chops. Very close game, but if we are 2-0 I think confidence is there and we pull out a squeaker (shoot me for my optimistic view now)
3-0

4.@ WKU - Revenge game, and a game I might go up and see. Vanderbilt should just be the better team and really should have won last year against maybe the best WKU team ever.
4-0

5.Florida - Although we catch Florida at a great time I think they will be coming off a win at UT (OH PLEASE) and will be on a roll. Their team speed and depth will be a tough nut to crack...the undefeated season ends here
4-1

6. @UK - tough game again because it's a road game. This could be a Cats team with it's back against the wall by this time and coach Stoops could have his job on the line. However the injury bug has already hit UK..I will take Vandy with a tough road win, Defense comes up big.
5-1

7. @ UGA - I think we are beaten here. At Georgia and I believe UGA will be rolling on it's way to the SEC east title. Kirby Smart has a lot of good returning talent and will have a very good UGA team this year.
5-2

8.TSU - a win. The TSU band will be great at half but this will be a game where lots of guys get PT.
Not trying to disrespect TSU, but no, Vandy wins
6-2

9.@ Auburn - this is completely a toss up. There is no telling where Auburn will be at this point, Malzahn could be on his way out, or they could be killing it. No telling and I have not looked at their schedule to tell who they play before or after us. Sinice it is at Auburn, I give them the nod.
6-3

10. @ Missouri - I do think here Vandy picks up another road win against a Mizzu team that will have struggled most of the year and will be playing out the string.
7-3

11. Ole Miss - As much as I would love to beat Old Piss, they have so much talent it's hard to pick against them. I think it's a tough fought game, but I give Ole Miss the benefit of the doubt and the win
7-4

12 UT - I hate these guys, nothing more that I would love is to beat them, kill their hopes for a New Year's day bowl and watch the fan base implode and see butch's brick by brick wall come tumbling down, but I think they are simply a better team the Vandy and they win.
7-5

Tough end of the season, but there are games in there we could possibly win to go 8-4. Honestly we could lose games as well.
JMHO.
