No we should not burn Baptiste RS. He is not ready. I understand he can rebound but really he does not need to be thrown into the fire. Not the right time.
Also, it seems likely that Luke will not be close to 100% this year. Not close. Maybe 65%. Look at Henderson. It has taken him 1.5yr to recover from his knee injury (somewhat different injury but same conceptually). Further, Luke will likely have a clunky knee brace on and won't have that physical confidence one needs at a highly intense athletic level.
Silver lining here is it perhaps increases his chances to return? How does the NBA draft work for Senior lack of leverage? In that case next year we have the same team minus Damian and Wade, add Baptiste and that frosh PG. And I guess Justice because I think he is also out for that similar timeframe.
