I moved this out of the ADDW threads because it doesn’t belong there at a somber time.
But here is another VU championship I just discovered by accident last night that sort of notches up another for ADDW. Maybe the rest of you knew this already. I wonder if we have other club sports that are faring well nationally. (Sometimes club sports transition to varsity eventually at some schools.)
Apparently rowing, an Olympic sport, has been a club sport at VU for years (not sure, but one site referenced 1985 for its start at VU). I'd have rather traded the varsity v club funding status with bowling (or volleyball if there is a volleyball club), as for which one was varsity but perhaps there are very few rowing teams compared to the number of bowling teams to compete with or coverage they get. I wouldn’t know. Here is what I found. Their funding support group has its own 501c3:

and
http://www.siraregatta.com/members.html <-- teams they compete with are mostly (not all) major schools, including SEC teams
https://studentorg.vanderbilt.edu/crew/
http://www.friendsofvanderbiltrowing.com/vrc/ <—-supporter funding site run by alums since as a club sport, they get very little funding from the school
UUT with another strong finish in a 2018 regatta (lol):
