After watching several thrilling videos of the goal post being carried to the river, I got to wondering. Realizing that probably not that many college stadiums are located in downtown areas in cities as large as Nashville, I wonder if anyone is aware of any other celebration that maybe occurred at another school where students and fans carried a goalpost 3 miles down a major road, thru of heart of downtown in a spontaneous celebration, catching police and everyone else by surprise. From the looks of it after dumping the goalpost in the river, the crowd remained on Lower Broad for some time, causing the police to block off Lower Broad. I loved it and wished I was there.
