FB Recruiting 2024 DE Demetrius John details Vanderbilt interest

Coffman (Oh.) 2024 strongside defensive end Demetrius John, who picked up an offer from the Commodores last week, has announced he will be stopping by Vanderbilt for an official visit next month.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound recruiting target out of Dublin, OH. sat down with VandySportsDotCom to detail his interest in the Commodores' program ahead of his visit to West End.

"They just offered me last Thursday after my workout at school and have been heavily involved since." - Demetrius John

John said that he has connected most with Vanderbilt assistant coach and defensive line coach Larry Black and has learned a lot about how he would fit in with the Commodores' defensive line.

"I've mostly been in contact with Coach Black and he's really cool and knowledgable. They've all given me a good amount of perspective as to how I'd play across their defensive line." - Demetrius John

John said that he will be stopping by Vanderbilt on the weekend of June 23rd and is eager to learn more about the Commodores program. He added that he also has visits set up with Illinois and Boston College.

"I'm visiting the weekend of June 23rd and I'm just looking to gain as much information about the university and community as I can. I have official visits with Illinois and Boston College as well." - Demetrius John
