The 6-foot-4, 255-pound recruiting target out of Dublin, OH. sat down with VandySportsDotCom to detail his interest in the Commodores' program ahead of his visit to West End.

"They just offered me last Thursday after my workout at school and have been heavily involved since." - Demetrius John

John said that he has connected most with Vanderbilt assistant coach and defensive line coach Larry Black and has learned a lot about how he would fit in with the Commodores' defensive line.

"I've mostly been in contact with Coach Black and he's really cool and knowledgable. They've all given me a good amount of perspective as to how I'd play across their defensive line." - Demetrius John

John said that he will be stopping by Vanderbilt on the weekend of June 23rd and is eager to learn more about the Commodores program. He added that he also has visits set up with Illinois and Boston College.

"I'm visiting the weekend of June 23rd and I'm just looking to gain as much information about the university and community as I can. I have official visits with Illinois and Boston College as well." - Demetrius John

Vandy Tournament pitching has been outstanding .

Hliboki, Reilly, Owen, Horn, Cunningham, Futrell, and Schultz have all been outstanding . Over three games against really good hitting teams they allowed under 5 hits per game. But for one horrific inning Cunningham pitched against Florida, we’d probably be in the winner’s bracket. And he was dynamite - maybe the best of all of our guys - except for that inning. Whatever happens today, this well for next week and beyond.

Will Circumstances Force Corbin to an Uncomfortable Place? (NCAA Baseball Tourney)

If Owen cannot go in the Regional, will the Coach be forced to break his pattern of always starting his #1 in Game 1 of the Regional (in this instance, Futrell as the presumptive #1 since Holton and Owen would not be available)? Wouldn't he want Futrell against the winner of #2 vs #3 instead of going up against the #4 in order to maximize the possibility of going 2-0? If you lose either Game 1 or Game 2, then you have to be able to cover 5 games and with the current depth issues plaguing the pitching staff, I would not want to have that scenario play out.

Of course, we are seeing this scenario, albeit in a slightly different way unfold in front of our eyes right now in the SEC tourney! It may serve as a nice trial run for Corbin to process and then map out his game plan for the NCAA Tourney.

Your thoughts? Chris Lee, with the benefit of breathing Mountain air, you have a long history of closely observing Tim's managing moves, your perspective would be appreciated.
