He has garnered quite a large following on social media. Basically what he does is go to different schools and try to find his way onto the football fields. He has also started a new series where he tries to see how long he can stay at different sporting events. Seems like some of them are staged, because he finds gates and doors just totally wide open sometimes.

As many of you know, Jesse last worked here about a decade ago and just moved back to the area this summer. As I've hinted for a couple of weeks, I had been working on tabbing someone to replace Sean Williams (who did a terrific job here, but left us for more pay at another network--we parted on great terms and I wish him the best).

Anyway, Jesse was always my first choice to replace Sean, we both just had to take care of a thing or two first and weren't able to finalize all that until today. And so please join me in officially welcoming him back!

Jesse has a full-time job and some other part-time work on top of that and so there are some parameters around his time, but he's excited about joining us again. He's agreed to work from now until the end of December, at which point we'll re-evaluate that based on how that's working for both parties, so that there's not too much pressure on him as he tries to balance this with the rest of a demanding work life, which was part of the issue in getting him back here.

Anyway, my apologies for the delay in replacing Sean but I wanted to give this some time to see if we could work it out with Jesse first before I closed a door and I'm glad I waited. Thanks for your patience and I look forward to having Jesse back.

“Operation Troll Bama Fans” was a success. Today’s run took me through campus during pregame festivities and tailgating wearing a Vandy shirt and hat. As I approached Bama fans, I pointed at them, made the “VU” sign with my hand, and said, “Anchor Down!” Many laughed, and some shook their heads, but all smiled and seemed to appreciate a good troll job. One guy just shook his head and said, “I got nothin’.” Tennessee fans also seemed to take great delight in the trolling, and several cheered, “Vandy! Vandy!” Mission accomplished!

Was one of the top players in the state for the 2024 class and signed with another Power 4 school.

His grandmother saw my Vanderbilt ball cap and stated that “my grandson wants to come home and play for them next year.”

I won’t disclose his name but IF Vanderbilt decides to play with the big boys - should have a very nice off-season.

I actually like Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler, enjoy listening to them broadcast a game. Also a fan of Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson. Surprised by the negative comments directed toward Jordan Rodgers on here sometimes.

Anyway, when it comes to pro football I’m am old case who grew up across the river from Philadelphia. When I was a kid John Facenda delivered the local news on CBS each night. Guy could read the phone book and you would listen to him for 30 minutes without complaint.

But my all-time favorite was Ray Scott.
